for Export Shipping
IPPC certified pallet manufacturer near the Port of Baltimore. Every pallet stamped for international compliance in 180+ countries.
What Is ISPM-15?
ISPM-15 stands for International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15. It is a global standard adopted by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) that regulates wood packaging material used in international trade — including pallets, skids, crates, dunnage, and blocking.
The standard exists to prevent the international spread of invasive insects and plant diseases that can live inside raw wood. Without treatment, wood pallets can harbor pests like the Asian longhorned beetle or pine wood nematode that could devastate forests in importing countries. ISPM-15 requires that all wood packaging material be heat treated or fumigated before crossing international borders.
If your shipment uses non-compliant wood packaging, it can be quarantined, treated at your expense, or destroyed at the port of entry — in any of the 180+ countries that enforce ISPM-15. That risk is easily avoided by sourcing from a certified manufacturer like Victor Wood Products.
